If we\u2019re in the parks for the afternoon or early evening, we will from time-to-time pick up foot-long subs from either Subway or Publix and take them in to the parks for our dinner.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We then might treat ourselves to Mickey Mouse ice creams for dessert!<\/p><h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Eating outside of the parks<\/strong><\/h2><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As great as Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando are, just occasionally you want to leave the Disney or Universal property and eat somewhere else.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of course, if you\u2019re staying in a rental house, you have the option of making dinner in the house \u2013 however, that doesn\u2019t always go down too well with the cook!<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We tend not to eat dinner in expensive restaurants (apart from the odd evening in EPCOT\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.disneyworld.co.uk\/dining\/epcot\/rose-and-crown-dining-room\/\">Rose &amp; Crown Dining Room<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.disneyworld.co.uk\/dining\/epcot\/chefs-de-france\/\">Chefs de France<\/a>!), so the following restaurants that we eat in tend to not be too pricey:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chilis.com\/\">Chilis<\/a>: traditional American and Tex-Mex cuisine in a restaurant and sports bar setting<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macaronigrill.com\/\">Macaroni Grill<\/a>: Italian American dishes, responsibly sourced, with a relaxed setting<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pandaexpress.com\/\">Panda Express<\/a>: American Chinese cuisine to take away or eat in<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiveguys.com\/\">Five Guys<\/a>: even we like burgers and fries from these guys!<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ul><h2 style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wdwtripplanning.com\/?page_id=1932\"><strong>Next up \u2013 <\/strong><strong>Other things to do in and around Walt Disney
