Flesh out your itinerary

As part of the vacation booking process, you will already have a pretty good initial vacation schedule.

We’d recommend creating a quick spreadsheet schedule that lists the dates and days that you are on vacation and the plans that you have (and will create) for each morning, afternoon and evening.

Once you have your schedule, or even just some initial ideas or thoughts, you can populate the spreadsheet with the Disney parks you wan to visit, and then add in the other activities that you want to schedule into your vacation itinerary.

Adding to your itinerary spreadsheet

We’d recommend adding the following items to your spreadsheet schedule:

Planning your day in a park

In terms of structuring your day, we rarely spend more than four or five hours in a park. Trying to do every ride or show in one day is hard work and can lead to park fatigue!

If you have the opportunity (in terms of vacation days), then spend a morning in a park, chill out in the afternoon around the pool or go shopping or play golf, then take in a restaurant (or pick up some subs) and then pop into a park for a leisurely evening, taking in a show or a couple of rides.

Conversely, mix it up and have a leisurely morning around the pool or out exploring a different area or activity (maybe take an air boat ride in the Everglades!), and then go into a park in the afternoon.
