Other things to do in and around Walt Disney World

As well as visiting the theme parks and water parks, there’s a whole host of things to do in the Orlando area. Here are just a few ideas of things that we enjoy doing:

  • Take a walk around Disney’s Boardwalk, pass through the Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts, as well as the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT.
  • Ride the Disney Skyliner, an aerial gondola that links Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT with a number of resort hotels.
  • Spend an evening in Disney Springs, with over 100 shops and 60 restaurants, and the largest Disney merchandise store in the world.
  • Play mini golf at one of Disney’s four mini golf courses (your Magic Ticket includes one free round per day before 4 pm).
  • Explore the themed Disney resort hotels, such as the Polynesian Village and the Grand Floridian (via the Magic Kingdom resorts’ monorail).
  • Shop at the Orlando Vineyard Premium Outlets or the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores.
  • Take an air boat ride in the Everglades.
